They told me they would have to repair & not replace the unit. I still have not gotten it back. I constantly get the run-around from Sound Around, Brooklyn. I will never purchase online again!

First it is not 16:9, it is 4:3. In a drop down of 15" that means you will be losing more of your rear view mirror sight lines for the same amount of picture as a 12" 16:9. 99% of films are 16:9.
Second this thing is VERY flimsy and bounces like all heck.
Third, get a monitor with a higher resolution. at 15" 800x 400 (what you will really see with 16:9 on this 4:3 @ 800x600) looks terrible.
Another reviewer mentioned that you cant expect higher resolutions. Wrong. You are goign to spend a lot of time (at least three hours) researching how to drop your headliner (look on your car user forums on the net) where to tap power etc and mounting. Most thinking people are going to install a media streamer like a seagate theater ($50 or less), asus, WD etc and a cheap hard drive and have hundreds of movies, after going to all the trouble of mounting an overhead. After all that why on earth would you not spend $50 more and get a higher definition monitor given streamers can give you a much better pic? And if you are not going to get a streamer now and are going to use an older dvd unit, you will not be able to upgrade.
Forth the product specs are wrong on many counts almost all telling you you are getting more than you are getting. EG specs as of this date say there is antishock for DVD. there is no dvd.
