Eforcity DVI-I Male to VGA Female Display Adapter with Gold Plated Contacts for PC/MAC Review

Eforcity DVI-I Male to VGA Female Display Adapter with Gold Plated Contacts for PC/MAC

This is a very handy piece of hardware to have around if you fix computers and only have a VGA monitor. I bought one of these for my ex-gf's computer because she has a desktop with DVI out from the dedicated graphics, but only has a VGA monitor. This made it so that her and her son could use the faster dedicated GPU to play games, rather than with the integrated graphics.
The only thing that could have been better is if they sent the product in a bubble wrapped envelope. It came in just a thin plastic bag, which made the product more susceptible to damage. Luckily, it came in mint condition.

IGI IRB-1 i Got Control Remote Adapter for iPad iPod touch and iPhones Review

IGI IRB-1 i Got Control Remote Adapter for iPad iPod touch and iPhones
Average Reviews:

Pros:
-LARGE code database included within the remote software, which is free on I-tunes!
-App that actually learns the codes you need to use from other remote controls (IE: TV remote RF sends the codes to be learned. Look at website for tutorial).
-Macro buttons are easy to setup and have a delay feature to ensure that the buttons work properly.
-Cost as cheap as other remote controls, but uses software instead of pre-installed hardware chip with codes.
-Small adapter to I-phone/I-pod/I-pad (not too bulky)
-Active support team that is located WITHIN THE USA!!!!!!!!!!!!! (trust me, this is a BIG perk).
-Website video tutorials
-System wide power button feature that allows you to push one button to turn on multiple products (For example, turn on your TV, Cable, and Audio all by pushing one button)
Cons:
-Costs money :) (still, its worth the purchase)
-Some codes are not programmed within the existing software (but you can use other remotes to get the codes you need)Summary: TRUST ME! If you can find your old remotes, or find the code already within the software, this is the only product you will ever need.
It is truly awesome!

Sony Two-Way Bluetooth Adapter for iPod and MP3 Players Review

Sony Two-Way Bluetooth Adapter for iPod and MP3 Players

This is a very cool gadget, that adds a Bluetooth interface to anything with either audio-in or audio-out jacks.
For example, receiver side of this device will connect your home/car/boat stereo to your Bluetooth-enabled MP3 player (like the one built into the RAZR V3xx and V3i mobile phones) allowing you to play your MP3s through the stereo's amp and speakers.
The transmitter side makes it possible to listen to the TV over Bluetooth headphones, just plug this thing in to the audio output jacks (found on most cable converters, DVD players, etc.)
In short, it makes your older audio devices available via Bluetooth, in just about every way you can imagine.
A couple of quick usage notes:
1.) To put it into pairing mode you must hold it's ID button for 7 seconds while it is powered *off*. You can hold it all day long after it's powered on, without changing a thing.
2.) The female audio jacks built into it are pretty stiff, you have to push it in until it clicks, and it takes a little more force than usual. (btw, its package does not RCA jack adapters, as is suggested in some of the product's literature, but those adapters are both cheap and readily available.)
3.) It's documentation states it can store 8 pairings with other devices, but does not indicate whether its transmitter is capable of connecting to more than one device at a time (which would be most functional, for sure.) At the moment I only have one device that supports A2DP (as a receiver, so until I get another, it's wait-and-see, I suppose... (I'll be pleasanty surprised if it does support more than one concurrent receiver, but what the heck: dare to dream.)

Sony TDG-BR100 Adult Size 3D Active Glasses, Black Review

Sony TDG-BR100 Adult Size 3D Active Glasses, Black

A parital reason I decided to go with Sony for my new HD3dTV was the performance of the the 3d shutter glasses and their comfort. Glasses are not really the correct terms as these are more like goggles that will fit over a pair of regular glasses. They are totaly enclosed and shut out most light from the tops and sides. They do dim the picture a bit but most 3dTV's compensate for this by getting much brighter in 3d mode. They work well with in the the range they are intended. If you tilt your head more than 10 degrees of so either left or right the 3d effect is lost. Opperation is simple with a single button to push on and off. They're semi adjustable for those with smaller heads but if you have small children like me then you will need to get the BR50's which are narrower lighter and more like a regular pair of glasses. Part of what I enjoyed was the fact that they do block most ambient light from all but in front. They are fairly hefty and you will start to feel their wieght right about the time the credits role in a two hour movie, but then I don't normally wear glasses and I start to feel that way after two hours in a pair of sunshades, YMMV. Unlike the Panasonics and Samsungs glasses I tried, you can still opperate a laptop or anything else with them on and not get a lot of flicker. The other brands tended to cause every other light source to flicker except for the TV's which only flickered when the glasses were out of sync. The Sony's sync very qucikly and don't reset during bright parts of the movie ala the Panasonics. They could be lighter but frankly they feel quite sturdy and not nearly as fragile FEELING as other brands I've tried. They are battery powered by a standard CR2032 watch battery and last for about 80 hours of viewing. If you watched a 2 hour 3d movie every night, plus a football game every week they'd last just over a month. That was a concern for me until I did the math. The Sony sell for about $100 vs the other brand reacharbles which go for $150. With batteries selling for about $8 for a pack of 10 it would take 4 years of watching at that rate to see any savings on the rechargables. Overall they work well though I wished they came with a hard case instead a velvet pouch.
