(More customer reviews)These wireless headphones sound great. I have tried a couple of different 900MHz headphones and was very dissapointed in the static I would hear on them all of the time. I discovered these when looking for a pair of digital ones on the internet. These sound great and work throughout my entire house. They would get 5 stars except for a couple of minor needed improvements:
1. There is an occational clicking sound when walking around. If you are not moving, you don't hear any clicking. It isn't a big deal and doesn't distract from the music or TV.
2. The headphones are a bit tight on my head, and I think I have a normal size head.
3. The battery compartments are a little hard to open.
4. It is really hard to find a dealer that sells them.
Other than that, they are great. They have normal stereo RCA connections, but also have an optical digital connection if your receiver has optical out.
So, don't waste time with 900MHz, get these instead.

(More customer reviews)I have been using these headphones recently with my iPod touch running the new 3.0 software update, and I would have to say that I am mostly happy with the results. The two pair up really easy, I just leave the bluetooth on on the iPod and all I have to do is press power on the headphones and then play once to connect, and play once more to hear music. The range is fantastic, I plug my iPod into the computer at work when the battery is low and I can walk all over the mailroom floor with no interruptions. One thing I do enjoy is the nice deep bass these provide. I am sort of a bass junky though and others may find it a bit too much.
My complaints would have to be that 1.) I am not to fond of the shape and size of them. The headband sits behind the cups and it feels like they are always going to fall off your head, and they are pretty big. 2.) Not all the functions work with the iPod Touch. I can use play and pause, as well as volume adjustment. However I can not skip songs. I believe this is an issue with the iPod software/hardware rather than the the headphones though because when I used them on an iPod nano and classic with the dongle they worked great, and you could even navigate the menus and everything. 3.) Occasionally they will cut out and it sounds a bit like a CD skipping but nothing so sever that I am upset by it. 4.) They are hot. The leather(?) around the ear cups fits really well and keeps the sound of my rather noisy job out, but they keep the heat in just as well, and often I have to take them off because they simply get too warm. Lastly I kind of wish they had a mic built in so I could pair them with my phone, but this is not really a complaint more than it is just a wish.
I hope this review was helpful and I do recommend these headphones to anyone looking for a great set of bluetooth headphones. Thank You.

(More customer reviews)Since Sharper Image filed for Chapter 11 they are selling these for about a $100 - which is a fair price, IMO. I bought one for evaluation, then came back another day to pick up a 2nd pair for my spouse. They are comfortable and perform well at long range as I walked all over the house while listening to music. The only con I found so far is that it seems to me that when two sets of these headphones are on at times they interfere w/each other (sound jitters - appears/disappears). It also has a built-in microphone which I have not tested out yet - definitely will cause I got PlayStation 3 which I paired them with no problem. Also, sometimes the base will not turn off when I press the power on/off button - seems like a little glitch. Overall, I think it's a very nice bluetooth stereo w/SRS and mic headphones.

The RS-130 was the answer to our prayers. It is a solid piece of equipment which is really comfortable and stays on your head (we have tried it as high as 8.5 MPH). The quality of sound is exceptional and has yet to give us any trouble. My wife has started to recommend this headset to her friends at work (who are taking part in the presidential challenge for Feds)who want to watch TV or listen tunes and complain about the noise of their equipment, home life and/or gym.

(More customer reviews)I bought these mainly for use with a TV and I have no complaints. The sound quality is good, and the range is throughout my house. I can keep listening to a show if I have to take the dog outside. They are comfortable. I can easily wear them for the duration of a movie. I use rechargeable batteries, and they last over a month with about 2 hours of use per day. I also use them occasionally to listen to music and the quality is almost as good as a corded pair of headphones that I have.
There are two knobs on the right hand side. One is the volume control and the other for tuning. It takes a few days until you learn which is which. After that, you won't fiddle with the tuning when you want to adjust the volume. I have never had any interference and so never needed to adjust the tuning.
These are definitely useful when you want to keep the sound to yourself or roam about while listening to headphones. Also, voices are much easier to understand through headphones than through speakers, especially during a movie. I wouldn't mind using corded headphones except that I don't want to sit close to the TV and I want to be able to walk around occasionally.
The base unit shuts off about a minute after you turn off the source. If I mute the TV during a long set of commercials, the base shuts down and all you hear is noise. This is so that you can shut off the headphones without having to get up to shut off the base. I learned to turn down the volume on the unit instead of using the mute during long commercials.
You can either plug the base into a headphone jack or, with the adapter, into RCA plugs labeled audio out. I don't notice any difference in terms of sound quality between the two.

The sound quality is better than my ibuds that came with the ipod, and I love not having a wire connecting me to my ipod. The initial pairing to my ipod and palm treo 800 was very easy and it works well for the most part. The only fault I have noticed is the transitioning after completing a call the headset sometimes doesn't transition back to the ipod without me unplugging and replugging the transceiver back into the ipod. This doesn't happen all the time, but I have noticed this happen more than once and I've own this headset for only about a week-I'm not sure if this is the headset or if it is my dumb phone, probably the phone as I have had numerous problems with the treo 800w. The headphones are very comfortable and the remote on the headset works great. You can pause, play, search, skip all from the headset- no problems with that. The range on the headset is about 15 feet depending on where you're at and the amount of interference in the area. The battery life is something that I haven't tested, but the manual suggests that it is 16 hours, but I highly doubt that. Everyone will have you believe that their product runs for double what it is capable of-the people at apple would like you to believe their ipods video will play for 6 hours, but in actuality it will run 3 1/2 to 4 hours on a full charge. But, overall the headset is great. I'm trying to figure out if I can pair it to my computer, so I can talk on skype. I'll have to tinker with it some more.

Just bought these along with the TMR-BT8 iPod adapter. Pairing is very easy. While the headphones are off, hold down the power button for 7 seconds or when the pink and blue lights are blinking. The pairing code is 0000.
In addition to my 5th gen iPod, I also paired it with my Razr V3xx and Thinking T61p. No problems at all and the sound is as clear as with my wired headphones. These headphones do not have very much bass but it's much better than average in-the-ear types. The treble range is pretty good and better than average as well. Wireless range is very good, as long as there aren't too many obstacles. I was able to go at least 40 feet away with no cutting out at all. Simply amazing. Other features include controlling devices with the jog dial and volume buttons, which I was able to do with all 3 of my devices. I have not tried making or receiving a call from them yet but I don't perceive that I will have any problems. But with all the good, there's always a little bad. The control buttons do not feel firm and makes the whole thing seem fragile. In general I am careful with my electronics so this will not be a problem. I could see using these at the gym but I wouldn't drop them or place undue stress on them. This one is minor but the charger looks like it was designed to be compact but the prongs do not fold in and away. I could see traveling with these headphones on a business trip and being able to drop it in my laptop case would've been nice. And lastly, at this price, they should've included a case, preferably a hard plastic one.
Pros:
1. Easy pairing between devices
2. Very good wireless range
3. Intuitive controls
4. Battery life seems to be very good so far
5. Clear sound with no cutting out
6. Better than average sound quality
Cons:
1. Seems a little fragile
2. Prongs do not fold in on compact AC charger
3. No case included
UPDATE (8/11/08):
Now that I've had these headphones for 8 months, I found out that I can pair my phone and iPod simultaneously. I can be listening to the iPod and when a call comes in, the iPod pauses, and I can take the call. Once the call is over, the iPod resumes playing.
UPDATE (11/5/08):
These headphones work with my iPhone 3G but with caveats. First, you must use the Sony TMR-BT8 iPod adapter. You CANNOT just pair through the iPhone's built-in bluetooth AND you must not have it set to "on" before using the Sony adapter. It's probably best not to have bluetooth turned on at all. Second, you must have the adapter in and be in iPod mode before turning on headphones or they won't pair up. Third, you can get phone calls but they will not go through the headphones. And as with all previous iPhone accessories, you will be told that the adapter is an older accessory and may not work, do you want airplane mode. Just select "no" and don't worry about it. I think I covered all of the caveats. What is nice is that you can use the A2DP functions of the headphones like play/stop/FF/RW and volume, you will hear the phone ring in the headphones, and the music will resume once your call is over.
UPDATE (9/28/09):
iPhone ONLY. Now with the 3.0 firmware upgrade, there is no need for the Sony TMR-BT8 iPod adapter anymore. However, while you can play/stop music, you do not have prev/next or reverse/fast-forward functions. I recently upgraded to the iPhone 3GS and still no go on those functions. Hopefully this gets fixed in a future firmware upgrade.

Koss HB60 Infrared Clip-On Wireless Headphones Review

The best part of the Koss HB60 is that you can plug any standard headphone jack into the infrared receiver. Thus, with the HB60 you can convert any of the headphones that you already own (and love) to wireless usage.
The worst part about the Koss HB60 is the headphone that it comes with. This thing is designed to be clipped onto your ears, and boy, do they hurt after about 5 minutes! These headphones also have a very strong high frequency boost (which seems to be the standard "Koss sound" - headphones for people with high frequency hearing loss). If you have never listened to Koss headphones, you might think that this hissing sound is due to poor infrared transmission. IMHO, Koss should lower the price of the Koss HB60 and just sell it without this bad headphone.
When I plugged my two Sennheiser headphones (HD545 and HD570) into the Koss HB60, they both sounded great! I can't tell that there is much difference between plugging these headphones directly into the computer/player versus plugging into the Koss HB60. There is very little hissing noise with the Sennheiser headphones plugged in as long as the receiving unit is facing the transmitter directly and located less than about 8 feet away or so. Turn the receiver to face another direction and the hissing increases only slightly, as the receiver picks up the reflected signal off the walls of the room. Step out of the room, or go to a part of the room where the transmitter is not sending any infrared beams, and the signal is completely replaced by static.
The Koss HB60 amplifies the input signal quite a bit, about 4-5 times as loud. This is great if your input signal is fairly weak, such as can happen with some cheap CD players or computers. However, because of this high gain, the amplifier of the Koss HB60 will saturate on the louder pieces of music if you set the input signal strength too high. This will sound like bursts of irregular high frequency static coming through. However, if you set the input signal too low, then there is a slight increase in the hissing sound.So you have to adjust the input signal carefully.
The only really annoying thing about the Koss HB60 is that the belt clip is located directly over the cover for the two AAA batteries. However, the clip is detachable, which, as I only discovered recently, is the real trick to changing batteries on this thing - pull the belt clip off first!
So I took off one star, but otherwise the Koss HB60 is a fine product as long as you understand the inherent limitations of this form of wireless transmission.
I got the Koss HB60 because I wanted to listen to headphones while stringing tennis racquets.I do the stringing in our family computer room, so I can't use the computer speakers most of the time when others are working in the room. The racquet stringing requires some moving around, but mostly I am standing facing in one direction. Thus, I can clip the receiver to the collar of my shirt so that it mostly faces the transmitter. Before, I had plugged the Sennheisers into one of the computers in the same room through an extension cord. This long line was always very messy and easy to step on or get entangled. I ruined at least two of the Sennheiser headphone cords in this fashion by stepping on them and jerking them until they developed an internal break in the wires. Now I can listen to the Sennheisers without worrying about the cord.

(More customer reviews)This does not work as a wireless headphone. When connected to my ipod less than 2 feet away the sound is garbled and cracky. It doesn't improve no matter how you maneuver the transmitter or the headphones or how far away you are. Once in a while I could actually hear for a few seconds what the person was saying on the podcast. Most of the time it was crackling and static. The FM transmitter does work though.
The "ergonomic" design is ridiculous. It's a one-size-fits-all non-adjustable headphone with the hardest plastic on earth possible. It goes around the back of your head and is very uncomfortable, especially on the ears.

Jensen JW160 Wireless Headphones Review

(More customer reviews)I was replacing a 3 year old "as seen on TV" wireless FM based headset. These 900mhz state of the art headphones didn't even come close.
Here are the problems:
Headphones picked up a local TV station even with the base turned of. Very poor performance when used plugged into my TV's RCA type audio jacks. (why I bought them). Hissy and staticy walking around inside house (even close up). Tech support rep very condescending.
I am certain it was the model and not my TV or house or locality. I went out and purchased the Advent AW720 and have none of the above problems.
I would have liked to read this before I purchased.
On the good side, Amazon is making the return very very painless. Thanks Amazon!

HP GW470AA#ABA Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Headphones Review

(More customer reviews)I bought these as a Christmas present (for myself) directly from HP. At the time they were listed for $160.00 and I found I could get them from HP for $100.00. I liked the bluetooth, it setup just fine with my Vista laptop (also an HP) and the sound was fine. The noise canceling didn't really work, all I got was a high-pitched squeal in the right ear, but I'm in a quiet office, so I didn't worry about it.
I had the same problem that others have had, the headband breaks. I have a pretty normal to small head (I wear a 6 and 1/4 fitted baseball hat) and the headband busted in two.
I sent them back, and HP never bothered to send me a replacement. When I called, they had already refunded my money. They offered me a 25% discount on any other pair of headphones, but I was so put off by the whole experience, I told them "no thanks".
If HP can design a better head band, they'll have something to offer, but as for now, these headphones are not worth the time and money.
And, yes, working with HP's outsourced customer service is not fun. They don't understand the issues with the product and are not easy to work with. I hope someone from HP reads this and moves their call center to a nice college town where they can give students that speak English and have people skills a nice place to work. As it is, I won't buy anything from HP for awhile.

Sly SLH200W 6 in 1 Headphone Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this wireless headphones to reduce the clutter & so I could watch video & tv without everyone in the neighborhood hearing (My hearing is getting worse as I age) At $25, I thought it was worth a try. Well, ya get what you pay for.
Installation was a pain as the instructions are extremely confusing (and I'm a techie!!). They are also written in the very small print of legal documents that are meant to be read only with a magnifying glass. Mine came with a USB power cable which was not mentioned anywhere on the box or the documentation. The transmitter (called the Emitter in the instructions) can also operate on 2 AA batteries. 2 more AA batteries are required in each headset.
The headphones are the old style of analog days. Light enough in weigh so you don't notice them. But they will get sweaty with prolonged wear. I did get 2 headsets so 2 people can listen. The chat function strikes me as useless. It's like talking on a speaker phone several feet away.
The real test came with use, once I finally got them installed correctly. Each time you turn on the headset, there is a 3 step procedure you have to follow. If you don't do it right, the headset becomes an FM radio and you have to start all over again. There is a great deal of feedback & background noise. Not unlike listening to an AM radio. The tone of music is tinny with little base response. Playing Winamp with full base helps some but the speakers just aren't good enough to really enjoy music.
I would have paid double the price to get better sound with no background noise. But the $200 range for a really good wireless set is out of my reach. So I'll live with this - for now.

(More customer reviews)These headphones sound fantastic! They produce a well balanced sound across a wide frequency. Bass, mid range and treble all sound excellent. I haven't heard any distortion. Kleer definitely produces a crisp, clear sound and the headphones allow you to hear an incredible level of detail. I would have thought these were wired if I tested these blindfolded. Operation is simple. Activate the headphones, then activate the transmitter and you have sound!
There's quite a bit of innovation in one package. The transmitter is very small. About half the size of a gum package. It comes with a rubber band to strap it to a MP3 player. If you are in a clear space, you can walk quite a distance away from the transmitter. I was able to get 40 feet away without the audio cutting out. If you walk around walls or corners, it may cut out but if you are directly across, above or below the transmitter, through a wall, it comes in perfectly clear.
Twist to fit works fairly nice and the headphones feel comfortable. You may have problems jostling them loose if you have any jarring movements like running, but seems to handle walking on a treadmill quite well.
The transmitter can last for 10 hours on a single charge, the manual says the headphones last for 3 hours but I have had them run for up to 5 hours. You can charge the headphones in the charging dock three times while on the go but charging the headphones alone can take around several hours, plus or minus, depending on how run down they are. Battery life and charge time is the only true downside aside from the early adopter price.
Pros: Sound amazing, remote charging, comfortable.
Cons: Battery life, cost.

(More customer reviews)The headphones alone are excellent--they have great frequency response and presence. I am not a technical type but I do own Etymotic ER-4's and these sound better to me.
These use flexible ear pieces like all other earphones in this category. They eliminate a lot of ambient sound but may take some getting used to if you have not used this type before. They come with several size ear pieces and I suspect most everyone will find a size they are comfortable with.
The wireless transmitter and receiver works well and allows me to use my I-pod without a dangling wire. The earphones can be used as a normal wired type or the wire can be removed and used with the wireless transmitter and receiver--the headphones sound exactly the same to me, either way. This is surprising, as normally wireless introduces sound quality erosion.
I do get some occasional very short dropouts in sound in the wireless mode if I have my I-pod in my pants pockets but have had no problem if I keep it in a top pocket. Line of site presents no problem--I have used at 30 feet with wall in the way from my stereo receiver and my PC. These are superior to other wireless products I have used that can not compete in terms of range.
The wireless receiver can hang in front or over the back of your head. It is a little large and a bit clumsy if you like it hanging in the front--so I have become a back of head hanger.
The on/off switches on the receiver/transmitter are a little small and you need to be careful not to hide the light when you turning them on and off.
I have not run out of charge after using 8 hours--I have seen other reviews that indicate you can expect 8-10 hours.
These headphones sound as good to me as my Etymotic at close to the same price--this wireless option makes these my first choice.
